Learn More About CT Brown Sanitation & Drain Cleaning

Have a septic tank-related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • Do we need to be at home when the septic cleaning service is performed?

Yes. Our customers need to be present at the time of our septic cleaning service just in case any additional issues arise and require repair or explanation.

  • What requirements are necessary to have a septic system installed?

In order to have a septic system installed, you'll need two things. First, you'll need approval from the health department. In addition, you'll need clearance from your county. After that, it's a matter of installation and regular septic cleaning services.

  • Is your cleaning service environmentally safe?

When it comes to septic cleaning, we want to be as safe as possible. That's why we only use biodegradable soaps and cleaning products that contain no phosphorus. Our goal is to conserve water and spread out usage.

  • How often should I pump out my septic tank?

Septic cleaning is an important step you need to take. In most cases, we recommend the tank be cleaned every two to three years. This number can vary depending on your circumstances, but it's a good rule of thumb to follow.

  • How do I know if my septic system is not functioning properly?

If your septic system is showing any of these signs, it may need to be checked by a professional:

    • Water surfacing on the ground
    • Gurgling in the downstairs plumbing/downstairs toilet or laundry tub not draining properly
    • Toilets and sinks draining slowly
    • Plumbing system backups
    • Pump station alarm is going off
    • Foul sewage odor inside or around the house

If you're experiencing issues with your septic system or need a septic cleaning, we're here to help.
